Chalkboard Giftbag by Michelle Mathey

10 Aug

School is almost back in session so what better way to kick off the start of the new school year than a great gift for teacher? Michelle Mathey shows us how to make a fun and easy gift bag that kids can help create.

Supplies: Kraft bag, painter’s tape, chalkboard paint, paintbrush, A Muse woodgrain paper, chalk

How to: Mask off area to be painted with tape. Apply three coats of chalkboard paint. Make a frame from woodgrain paper. Attach the frame to the bag and add an apple embellishment. Let your kids write a message to their teacher with chalk. Fill the bag with a gift and top with tissue paper.

I love chalkboard paint! We did a wall in my step sons room when he was smaller - he thought it was the coolest thing ever! I plan on using it for a number of projects coming up.
