15 DAYS OF BEAD HOLIDAY GIVEAWAYS: DAY 3 ANTELOPE BEADS & SOFTFLEX WIRE WINNER’S CIRCLE

09 Dec

Today’s giveaway sponsor is Antelope Beads! Antelope Beads is a distributor for Paper to Pearls, an Initiative of Voices for Global Change. These beautiful recycled paper beads are handcrafted in Northern Uganda. Experienced artisans, rich color saturation, and eco-friendly water-based lacquer is what sets ‘Paper to Pearls’ apart.

Since 2006, they have empowered marginalized women in Northern Uganda to improve their lives and those of their families. The Paper to Pearls beaders have become outstanding artisans. Along with Kazuri Beads, they will continue to bring meaningful beauty to people around the world, while providing hope and support to African women and their families. They are also featured at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, Italy.

The beads range from 6-20 mm in size. We have both a “hot” & “cool” color set to giveaway today. Both retail for just under $35. It’s amazing how different our lives are from other women across the globe! Comment on this by tomorrow, at 4 pm {MST} for your chance to win one of these beautiful sets.  Stop by tomorrow evening to see if you were one of our TWO winners, and join us for our Day 4 Giveaway while you’re at it!

Softflex Wire Winner’s Circle:

1. Kysha Plante. She wrote: “I used soft flex all the time. I have used others but I always go back to soft flex.”

2. Pamela Spradlin. She wrote: “I have actually used it in scrapbooking!”

Congratulations Kysha & Pamela! Please email your full name, shipping address, and phone number to teresa@northridgepublishing.com. Please put “Softflex Wire Winner” in the subject line of your email. Thank you all for your fun comments. We’ll see you here again tomorrow!

Those are WONDERFUL!!! (our church donates things/items all the time to Uganda!) We also have two girls that make the homemade beads here at our Craft Group that meets at our local library.. and those beads take a wee~bit of time to do, between the cutting, rolling, glueing, drying~~ I appreciate all of their hard work to get these beads done.. I hope everyone who reads this post goes over and supports this cause!!!
