It’s that time of year again – you can’t walk 3 feet into your local grocery store without seeing piles and piles of candy. Walk another step or two and you might be confused about whether you are in a grocery store or a haunted house. Not that I’m complaining – I LOVE Halloween…almost as much as I love candy! So I thought I’d just go ahead and take advantage of all the seasonal goodness and create a fun little treat bucket to share. The best thing about this treat bucket is that it can do double-duty, not only is it a fun way to share treats, it also serves as a cute little bit of Halloween Decor – especially when paired with this fun new collection from We R Memory Keepers, appropriately named “Bewitched!”
Here’s how :
Begin by gathering your supplies – patterned paper, stickers, a clear bucket, foam adhesive dots, and, of course, a clear bucket:
First, cut strips of patterned paper for the top and bottom of the bucket:
Wrap the strips around the bucket and secure with adhesive.
Next, Cut a circle to fit on the lid.
Now you can
pull out the stickers and the foam adhesive dots or squares:
Attach the stickers to the front of the bucket to create a little halloween parade or scene:
Now let’s embellish the handle – place some of the banner stickers on the top
And one of the fun tags wrapped around the side too:
Now pull out those bags of delicious candy and fill up the bucket:
And that’s all there is to it! Now you have a fun little gift to give to a friend and they can enjoy the candy AND the fun little decoration too!
Have a fun time creating your own Halloween treats this week – whether you’re making them to give away or to enjoy yourself! –Wendy Sue
